Bo Diddley -

Legendary self-styled bluesman whose songs (mainly about himself!) were characterised by a spine-tingling, over-amplified guitar sound and hynotic, pounding rhythm. His many hits included Bo Diddley, Pretty Thing, I'm A Man and Hey, Good Lookin'. Bo Diddley's influence on rock music cannot be overestimated - Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Eric Clapton are just a handful of stars who are musically indebted to him.
