Mark Linkous' indie champions and US cult band. Made their recording debut in 1995 with 'Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot', a melancholy slice of surreal lo-fi genius sprinkled with cartoonish lyrical imagery and introspective optimism. The tour following the album almost ended in tragedy when Linkous accidentally overdosed almost costing him his life and leaving him wheelchair bound. The second Sparklehorse album 'Good Morning Spider' was recorded shortly after the accident. 2001's 'It's A Wonderful Life' album saw collaborations with PJ Harvey, Tom Waits and Nina Persson.
