Michael Crawford -
One of the country's most skilled actor and performers, Crawford was a child actor made adult superstar. Juggling careers in TV, film and stage, it was his portrayal of Frank Spencer in BBC TV's Some Mother's Do 'Ave 'Em in the 1970s which made him a genuine star in Britain. 1981 saw his theatrical career eclipse this, first in Barnum, then in Phantom of the Opera, a role that brought him worldwide recognition along with Oliviers, Tonys and numerous Critics Awards.
