Biosphere -

Widely regarded as one of Norwegian electronic music's most important artists, Biosphere's (Geir Jenssen) career spans nearly two decades. Named after the Biosphere 2 Space Station project, Jenssen has likewise been steadily creating a self-contained aural universe from his base in Tromso, 400 miles north of the Arctic circle. Retreating from the marketability of his previous incarnations (Bel Canto, Bleep), he has found solace on the Touch label where he has created some of the most enduring music of the ambient movement.
