Hotly tipped New Yorkers with a volatile brand of Doors, Stooges and MC5 influenced rock. Just for once, believe the hype. Absolutely superb indie, as it should be. With no promotion at all the debut 'Is This It' - went straight to second place in the national charts almost eclipsing a certain Mr Jackson...cool as! It rightly won the NME album of the year award as well, and the band were winners of the Best International Newcomers at the Brit Awards 2002.
