Formed in 1989 in Brisbane, Australia, Powderfinger are one of the few Oz bands to have made it over to the more lucrative UK and US markets. Their epic rock sound is remeniscent of early INXS and their music is both commercially successful and critically acclaimed, having been awarded the prestigious ARIA Award a massive fourteen times.
