Formed in 1989, The Beautiful South continued the adult pop theme started by founders Paul Heaton and Dave Rotheray's former band, The Housemartins. Their first single, Song For Whoever, was an instant chart success (no. 2) and subsequent releases A Little Time, Ol' Red Eyes is Back and Perfect 10 have continued to prove immensely popular with the band's thirty-something audience. Heaton's twisted love songs, combined with thoroughly professional live performances from the band certainly don't disappoint.
