The Go-Betweens were first formed in Australia when its two songwriters (Robert Forster) and Grant McLennan were still in their teens. They eventually moved to London and recorded six tuneful and commercial albums that were none the less artistically uncompromising. Whilst they split up at the end of the eighties, a reunion eventually took place in 2000, leading to a new collection of songs made in collaboration with Sleater-Kinney.
