Post-rock pop band fronted by Stephen Merritt and based in New York. Largely a collaborative outfit, The Magnetic Fields have, at one time or another, involved Susan Anway, Shirley Simms and Dudley Klute. Currently consisting of Merritt himself, Claudia Gonson, Sam Davol and John Woo.
