Never miss another 'Norman Watt-Roy' show
Norman Watt Roy & Friends: Norman Watt-Roy + Wilko Johnson
"For over four and a half decades Norman Watt-Roy has been honing his unique bass style; from the early days with Loving Awareness and Glencoe through to his long standing association with The Blockheads and Wilko Johnson - one of the most respected and best loved bass players around.
The band features fellow Blockhead Gilad Atzmon, Average White Band's Owen 'Onnie' McIntyre, Frank Harrison (keyboards) and Asaf Sirkis on drums - and maybe some surprise guests!
**Please note: Wilko Johnson will be joining Norman Watt-Roy on stage as his special guest for four songs only. He will not be performing his own set."
Info provided by the Event Organiser
Norman Watt-Roy, one of Britain's best-loved bass players, is best known today for his work with The Blockheads and Wilko Johnson. Over his long career, however, he has worked with the Clash, Madness, Nick Lowe, The Selecter, Rodger Daltrey, and provided the original bass line for Frankie Goes to Hollywood's smash hit 'Relax'.
Norman Watt-Roy tour dates
The original Dr Feelgood guitarist, Johnson's choppy guitar style and interesting dress sense kept pub-rock rocking the pubs during the 1970s.
Following a stint with Ian Dury and The Blockheads, the Wilko Johnson Band was formed with ex-Blockhead Norman Watt-Roy on bass and Dylan Howe on drums, adding up to one of the most exciting r'n'b bands in the world today.
