Great British Summer Proms: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), The Military Wives
Special guests, The Military Wives Choir. Also featuring the world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with star soloists, an aerobatic display by an original World War 2 Spitfire, a rousing finale of favourites as performed at the BBC's Last Night of The Proms and spectacular firework display.
This year's concert will also honour and pay tribute to the armed forces by fundraising for SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen & Families Association).

Founded in 1946 by Sir Thomas Beecham and described by the Daily Telegraph as 'a true premier league orchestra'. Acknowledged as one of the UK's most prestigious orchestras, the RPO enjoys an international reputation for first-class performances.

The Military Wives
The Military Wives are a choir comprising the wives and girlfriends of British Military personnel located throughout the UK. The first choir was formed as a result of the BBC TV's The Choir with choirmaster Gareth Malone and there are approximately 75 Military Wives choirs throughout the UK; Germany; Cyprus and the Falklands which are either established or being developed under the guidance of The Military Wives Foundation.
