Recognised as one of the most significant bands of the '80s, Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke split acrimoniously in 1987 after releasing four studio albums, several compilations and numerous non-LP singles on Rough Trade Records between 1982-87. In recent years, speculation has been rife about the possibility that the band can put aside their differences and reform, with the most recent rumour suggesting that the band will be returning to the live stage in the Autumn of 2012.
