The Dearne Big Band was formed in 1978 by Foulstone school's former music teacher Holin Hammerton.
Many of the Band's members are now successful professional and semi-professional musicians, the band has several teachers in its present line-up
Having regularly visited Barnsley's German twin-town of Schwabish Gmund and performed in Jersey and Brittany the Band has now settled to a less hectic diary
