Formed after a 6 week back-packing trip through Southern Europe and Scandinavia during the summer of 2009 - vocalists Chris Hillier and Robin Southwell funded their way round by busking. Describing themselves as a ‘loud folk enthused rock band, without a lot of drones and emphasis on vocal harmonies’, Hillier and Southwell's harmonies craft The Bronze Medal’s sound and help drive the tracks beautifully. Consistently warm guitar sounds and textures also contribute to their signature ‘slow indie build’ - echoing shades of Explosions In The Sky colliding with the melancholic melodies of Death Cab For Cutie.
