Pauline Black's career of three decades has been as long-lasting and legendary as the Two-Tone movement spearheaded by her band, The Selecter, as well as Two-Tone luminaries The Specials and Madness. In 1982, Pauline left The Selecter to pursue an acting career that spanned Theatre, TV and Film, winning the Time Out/01 Best Actress Award in 1990 for her stage portrayal of Billie Holiday. From 1991-2006, she returned to the scene as The Selecter reformed for several extensive worldwide tours. From 2009, she has taken to the ska stage once again, performing with Skatalites' Doreen Schaffer as 'The Queens of Reggae and Ska', as a featured artist with the Neville Staple band and touring as a solo act, playing her original material as well as classics from The Selecter.
