The Grindcore supergroup featuring members of At The Gates, ex-Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death and Brujeria. After three albums, the band went on something of a hiatus in 2004. Following the tragic death of original guitarist Jesse Pintado (also of Napalm Death and Terrorizer) in 2006, it seemed that Lock Up were destined to remain an exciting chapter in extreme metal's history. However, following an incredible reaction at 2009's Damnation Festival - originally planned as a one off show, with new recruit Anton Reisenegger on guitar duties, all involved decided there was more still to be done, and in October of 2010, Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates), Anton Reisenegger (Criminal) Shane Embury (Napalm Death, Brujeria) and Nicolas Barker (Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Testament) set about recording the music to 'Necropolis Transparent' with Criminal bass player/producer Danny Biggin engineering the sessions.
