Liz Kelly is the author of Surviving Sexual Violence and also a feminist activist and researcher who has worked for thirty years in the field of violence against women and children. She is currently Director of The Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit at London Metropolitan University, and is also involved in consultation with the Metropolitan Police, the CPS, and a range of government departments. She is a member of the European women’s lobby Policy Action Centre on Violence Against Women and is one of two experts in the EU Institute for Gender Equality. In 2011 Liz was appointed to the Roddick Chair of Violence Against Women, and she has been made a CBE for services combating violence against women.
