The John Butler Trio effortlessly combines gritty soulful vocals, Appalachian folk and hip-hop with subtle hints of everything from reggae to Zeppelin. Often drawing comparisons with Ben Harper, John plays a variety of guitars with a dexterity on a par with some of the all-time greats. Joining Butler are prominent Melbourne musician Nicky Bomba on drums and bass player Byron Luiters.
