Damascus are a North East band, Chris Gooch (Guitars) and Derek Williamson (Vocals) are two songwriters. The full band includes Bill Smith (Bass) and Malcolm Dick (Drums), or Dave Kirkley (Drums). Influences are a fusion of americana, soul, country with a hint of blues and pop. A few cover versions are also usually added to the set, by artists such as Free, Otis Redding, Band of Heathens, Don Henley and Ray Lamontagne, Robert Palmer.
