Canadian 5-piece, whose name is a tribute to the children's writer Shel Silverstein. Originally a super-group featuring members from several Southern Ontario bands, Silverstein quickly became the main focus for its members. Their music breaks down the boundaries between related genres such as punk, hardcore and emo, achieving a synthesis that has delighted audiences in Canada and everywhere else the band tours. Active for over 12 years, the JUNO nominated band has written and recorded 79 original songs, released 5 LPs, 3 EPs, 1 mini-album and have performed over 1500 shows in 34 countries around the world. Silverstein is vocalist Shane Told, bassist Billy Hamilton, drummer Paul Koehler, guitarist Josh Bradford and newcomer Paul Marc Rousseau.
