Kavinsky lays down the same kind of scary synthwork John Carpenter and Goblin made popular in the late 70s, along with some of the more fleshed-out sounds that backed all those cannibal films. His production style is very visceral and reminiscent of video game music and film soundtracks of the 1980s.
