A five piece band from Birmingham, Kastella are a culmination of influences, ranging from Rock to Indie to Soul. These various genres then come together to create an energy and excitement, that is only exceeded by their live performances.
The tight, funk-based, groove of Kastella largely lies with the foundation of drums (Jake Hudson) and bass (Jay Stevens). The guitars (Mal Bradd and Daniel Taylor) then add colour and ambiance to their sound, of which is then given context and emotion via their provocative vocal arrangements (Jack Newbold).
