With a focus on original material, BluesMix are widely considered to be one of the UK's leading blues bands. 'Top class funky blues' -BluesMatters. They were shortlisted for 'Blues Album of 2008' by Blues in Britain magazine, have featured on BBC Radio 2's Paul Jones show and they have backed Eric Clapton and Amy Winehouse. They have an emotive groove-oriented approach to the blues - blending funky rhythms with distinctive vocals, tasteful guitar, virtuoso piano / organ playing and melodic, jazz tinged sax.
