The Last Great Lady Company: Persistant Playwright Productions
Directed by Gemma Colclough 'The Last Great Lady' tells the remarkable true story of Lady Frances Waldegrave, celebrated society hostess and owner of Strawberry Hill in the mid-1800s.
The confidante of prime ministers and royalty, artists and poets, Frances was destined to marry four times, but only once for love. The play is a comedy drama which sets the life and times of this extraordinary woman against a Victorian Christmas at Strawberry Hill, and includes a Victorian ball in the famous Gallery.
Please be advised that 'The Last Great Lady' is a promenade play, 90 minutes long with no interval. The audience will be standing for the first half of the performance, and seated for the second half.
The play is not recommended for under 12s.
Please be advised there is no wheelchair access to the Library, where one of the acts will take place.
