"Keyboard touting dynamo Josie Ghost has enough spunk to fool you into believing there's a whole band behind her. Her jagged conviction, raw energy and artful lyrics run throughout the set - even the melancholy, broken hearted ballads have a dangerous underbelly.
Add to that her trademark vocal harmoniser which, with a stomp from her foot on the box, kicks out a mile-wide sound, and you've got a new act you're unlikely to forget in a hurry. The kind that grabs you by the nuts and make you feel grateful.
Having spent 18 months playing keys and singing backing with The King Blues, Josie turned her focus on her own music. Big sounds for such a tiny woman - she describes herself as "fun sized " - we find it hard to disagree." BBC Introducing
