Another chance to see an established favourite with the Stratford Jazz fans as Gilad returns with his OHE. The latest album "Songs of the Metropolis" was released early this year and has been widely acclaimed by the critics. Pieces from the album are likely to be featured throughout the evening but with Gilad one never knows - just expect the unexpected!

Israeli-born saxophonist and clarinettist with his no-holds-barred approach to straight ahead jazz. Gilad has toured the world with his unique blend of Jewish Jazz. With his group the Orient House Ensemble, he plays a mixture of World, Balkan, Arabic and Jewish music within a jazz idiom. Expect hard hitting, edgy jazz from Atzmon's superb ensemble featuring Gilad Atzmon - sax & clarinet, Frank Harrison - piano, Eddie Hick - drums and Yaron Stavi - double bass.
