The Extra Specials, Running On The Spot

A riot of pork pie hats, mohair and loafers, The Extra Specials are the North-East’s own sensational tribute to iconic ska and 2-Tone trailblazers the Specials. And it’s a tribute so accurate that they’ve landed some incredible support slots with the original band’s friends and collaborators, recently sharing stages with the likes of The Beat, The Lambrettas, The Selector and Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam.

So expect a high-energy torrent of those amazing Specials hits! Gangsters, Too Much Too Young, Rat Race, Concrete Jungle, A Message to You Rudi… and the rest. And the Extra Specials’ juggernaut continues to roll on – later this year, they’re playing at Great Yarmouth’s massive Skamouth Festival, alongside original Specials star Neville Staple. No pressure there, then!
