Read Our Lips 24 Hour Filmpoem Challenge
Film-poems are the glorious offspring of spoken word and video-art, a distinct and ever-evolving art form where poets can enhance, subvert or narrate their verbal imagery with visuals.
As part of the ongoing Read Our Lipsmulti-media arts project, Apples and Snakes and Writers’ Block NE challenge you to create a film-poem in the space of a day, from storyboarding through to a final edit – all you need is a poem of your own, and ideally a camera or phone and a laptop.
At the end of the day, you will have a film that can be screened and entered into the film-poem competition for the chance to win £100.
