Sunderland musician Ian Jackson is familiar to many on the North-East gig scene as the singer in punk covers band 1977. This four-song EP sees him take a very different path indeed, as an alt-rock duo with his teenage son, Phil, as they make their recorded debut with four self-written tracks.

The lead song is a slow-burner which improves with every listen, Till Love Is Over an acoustic number on which the pair share vocals, and So Near...So Far a fine closer.
