'Four musicians with various and multiple talents, who aim to serve traditional music, a music they know how to renew while respecting its authenticity. A brief but perfectly accurate description might be: eight musical instruments, four voices in harmony, two generations of musicians and a master of dance... with a happy disposition and a wild energy, Le Vent du Nord has conquered audiences of all ages and from various cultural backgrounds'- Plug Two. Le Vent Du Nord (Wind from the North) perform traditional Québécois music in French which is heavily influenced by Celtic music from both Ireland and Brittany. The group use a very diverse range of musical instruments augmented by Québécois Foot Percussion presented via a most entertaining, energetic and engaging stage show. Renowned as ambassadors of Francophonie, Le Vent du Nord are also largely acknowledged as one of the key groups in Quebec’s traditional folk music revival.
