The Brindley was opened in Runcorn in 2004 by Halton Borough Council. It is a multi purpose, state-of-the-art Theatre and Arts Centre. It has a 420 seat Theatre, 108 seats Studio venue, Gallery, Workshops Spaces and Terrace Café overlooking the Bridgewater Canal. It has won seven major awards including 'Best Arts Project in the UK' at the 2007 National Lottery Awards and 'Best Performance Venue' at the 2008 Mersey Partnership Tourism Awards..

It was our first time at the venue, some 50 plus miles away, but with free parking, excellent seats, reasonably priced bar and so many friendly people in the staff and audience we were made very welcome.
