When Cahalen Morrison and Eli West released their stunning debut album, The Holy Coming of The Storm it met with instantaneous reaction on both sides of the Atlantic. Bob Harris invited them to record a session for his BBC Radio 2 show, saying their music was “quite extraordinary”, and Mary Ann Kennedy recorded a studio session with them for BBC Radio 3’s World on 3 as well.

They created such an impact during their first ever UK tour that Celtic Connections festival gave them a show of their own in Glasgow and they then appeared at just about every major outdoor event thereafter.

Admired by their peers as much as by those who love great roots music, Cahalen and Eli count many recognised names among those who sing their praises. When The Times invited Chris Wood to name his Six of The Best Folk Acts, he singled them out saying they were “passionate, committed, accomplished, searching and sailing in the sea of their own inheritance”

The duo are back on this side of the Atlantic promoting their stunning new album, this time produced by Tim O’Brien, himself a fan who says they “make music the world needs!”
