Based on the Charles Dickens classic, the story concerns a signalman occupying a lonely, windswept and remote outpost who suffers visitations from spirits which presage death and disaster on the line. He shares the information of these portents of doom with a visiting gentleman, but will his
warnings be heeded and if not, what terrible fate will come to pass?

The performance is followed by a screening of the 1976 film starring Denholm Elliot and Bernard Lloyd.
