Studio Jazz - Michael Garrick's MJQ Celebration
Pianist and composer Michael Garrick was one of the UK's leading and influential jazz musicians. His project, the MJQ Celebration, formed in 2011 to play a programme which emphasized the bluesier and swinging aspects of the MJQ's repertoire - classics like Django, Bags Groove and Bluesology.
The band played Swanage Jazz Festival in July and sell-out shows across the country before Michael tragically died in November.
Jim, Matt and Steve were determined to continue what he started and recruited Barry Green to play piano. 2012 saw the band continue to please audiences at world-renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
