Talk: Lady Eastlake And The Victorian Art World
Listen as Julie Sheldon discusses Lady Eastlake, the strident and formidable wife of Sir Charles Eastlake, who was a vivid presence in the art world of the 19th century. Julie is a reader in Art History at Liverpool John Moores University. She has edited The Letters of Elizabeth Rigby, Lady Eastlake and co-written Modern Art: A Critical Introduction, Making American Art and Art for the Nation: The Eastlakes and the Victorian Art World.
