‘While The World Was Dying, Did You Wonder Why?’: Punk, Politics And British (fan)zines, 1976–84   

Take a trip back to the 1970s / early 80s and the era of Punk and Anarchy with Professor Matthew Worley (Reading University), as he delves into one of the most striking movements in youth culture.

Matthew is Professor of Modern History, his current research interests explore the link between politics and youth culture in this era, which will be published as Anarchy in the UK: Politics, Punk and Society, 1976-84. His has published several books, including Oswald Mosley and the New Party (2009).
