7th National Showcase Of Excellence

The Scottish Centres of Excellence in Music are proud to present the 7th National Showcase of Excellence.

Pupils from Aberdeen City Music School, The City of Edinburgh Music School, The Music School of Douglas Academy and the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music will perform a varied programme of solo and ensemble items which will have something to suit every musical taste.

The programme will feature excerpts from the acclaimed "Contours of Cairngorm", a beautiful and exhilarating piece which seamlessly unites the Scottish traditional and classical genres, performed jointly by students of all four Centres with the Mhairi Hall trio.

This is an ideal opportunity to see how these talented young people benefit from the Scottish Government funded specialist tuition they receive alongside their mainstream curriculum.
