Following her spellbinding performance at the Last Night of the 2012 BBC Proms, violinist Nicola Benedetti is joining Oxford Philomusica to perform Shostakovich's Violin Concerto in Basingstoke, Aylesbury and Oxford. The Orchestra will also showcase symphonic suites by Prokofiev and Stravinsky, his thrilling Firebird - the work that made him a star when he wrote it for the Ballet Russes Company in 1910.
