Don Giovanni: Opera North
Don Giovanni is opera's most compelling anti-hero, a man without scruples. Seducing, deceiving and ultimately killing his way around town, he cares very little about the disastrous effects of his hedonistic quest for thrills.
But then his infatuated conquests, vengeful victims and their outraged relatives join forces for justice.
Inspired by the Spanish myth of Don Juan, Don Giovanni is a dramatic comedy without parallel, featuring some of Mozart's liveliest, extreme and most perfect music.
Opera North's first Don Giovanni for seven years sees the return of critically acclaimed director Alessandro Talevi and set and costume designer Madeline Boyd, with a top cast including William Dazeley as Don Giovanni and Meeta Raval as Donna Anna.
