Never miss another 'The Leisure Society' show
Indie-folk-chamberpop maestros The Leisure Society is essentially the brainchild of songwriter and film score composer Nick Hemming.
Coming from the same canon as The Divine Comedy and the Mull Historical Society, Nick's gentle indie anthems revel in acoustic guitars, pianos, harps and infectious melodies. They have earnt themselves two Ivor Novello award nominations, whilst the heart-warming and beautiful single 'The Last Of The Melting Snow' was proclaimed Guy Garvey's (Elbow) favourite song of 2009 and Radio 2's Radcliffe & Maconie promptly made it their 'record of the week'.
In 2011 the band released the follow-up to 2008's debut 'The Sleeper' with the equally sublime 'Into The Murky Water'.

Siblings Matthew and Julia Lowe join with their old Keston school friends to make foot-stamping mod-folk music based on an old folklore story.
Once upon a time, many years ago, in the little village of Keston there was a man who mended shoes. He managed to save his business by buying a fiddle and gathering all the local musicians into the rickety public house on the corner and playing toe-tapping music that wore thin the shoes of anyone listening.
Keston Cobblers Club maintain this tradition by embracing contemporary styles and traditional melodies, promising to 'heel your soles'!
