Dad's Army : Thorpe Players

Will we ever forget those immortal lines such as ‘Don't panic Mr Mainwaring, sir! They don’t like it up ‘em!’, ‘You stupid boy’ or ‘Don’t tell him, Pike’.

Dad’s Army is, quite simply, a British institution loved by generations, so why not join this evening of fun and nostalgia. You will be transported to Walmington-on-Sea during the Second World War to witness the trials of Captain Mainwaring and the rest of the platoon as they go about their duties as the Home Guard.

Thorpe Players bring you three episodes of this ever-popular comedy by David Croft and Jimmy Perry.
'The Deadly Attachment' features a moment often considered to be one of the funniest in British comedy. Captain Mainwaring attempts to recruit women into the platoon in 'Mum's Army', whilst in the 'Godiva Affair' confusion reigns over the identity of Lady Godiva.
