Simple Minds have announced an open-air gig at Alive at Delapre this year and are set to perform in the beautiful historic grounds of Delapre Abbey on Friday, July 18th.

Simple Minds’ performance at Alive at Delapre in Northampton will coincide with the release of their latest album, ‘Celebrate – The Greatest Hits’, which marks 35 years as one of Britain’s most successful bands.

Cllr David Mackintosh, Leader of Northampton Borough Council, said: “We are delighted that Simple Minds will kick off this popular three day event in the beautiful surroundings of Delapre.

“Simple Minds dominated the charts in the 80s with many hit classics that fans old and new will be able to enjoy on Friday 18th July.

“We hope that Delapre’s beautiful parkland surroundings will act as a perfect venue to celebrate 35 years of the band’s success.
