The 'Songwriters Circle' format returns to Porters for what is expected to be another unique evening. Three songwriters on stage simultaneously, performing their songs 'In The Round', with a delightful mixture of styles and sounds making this an event not to missed.
This time, Northumbria meets Nashville, in what is expected to be another sell-out show; as highly acclaimed US songstress Stephanie Lambring comes to Porters, Tynemouth, as a part of her latest UK tour; and will join Phil Caffrey & Simon Todd for a intimate and exclusive show.
Simon Todd
One of the best kept secrets and almost one of the lost treasures of contemporary music is Simon Todd. Hugely accomplished, this self-taught guitar and piano player once formed a seminal part of the now near-legendary Morgan Le Fay. Not one to take the easy route, lyrically or otherwise, Simon places equal emphasis on melody, chord structure and presentation. Blessed with a wonderfully wide range and rich powerful voice, he is, in essence, the complete songwriter and as much at ease in the studio as he is on stage.
