Fool's Gold + Blue Sun
Fool’s Gold and Blue Sun represent different takes on the current contemporary folk scene in the North East.
Fool's Gold
Fool's Gold are an Acoustic Folk trio, sometimes labelled Prog Folk. Their songs are often narrative and full of drive and memorable melodies and chorus structures. During an FG set the instrumentation constantly swaps and changes to provide a lush soundscape to reveal song stories you will want to be part of. Carol provides the main vocals, along with a variety of wind instruments, percussion and tenor guitars, Steve provides more vocals and an array of things with strings and Dave holds it all together on bass guitar.

Blue Sun
Blue Sun are Graham Brotton and Sam Cole who deliver delightfully constructed and presented songs using acoustic guitars to support heartfelt songs. Their work is simple, spare, yet straight from the heart, full of emotion and feeling. Sam's Vocals are wonderfully poignant and backed by Graham's amazingly dexterous picking style; they produce a sound that lingers in the memory.
