The release of 'easier said than done' in 1981 Shakatak introduced their unique sound to a much wider audience when the single stayed in the UK charts for over 17 weeks, however it was the follow up single 'Night Birds' (their first single to reach the top 10) and the album of same name which gave the band their first 'Gold album' cementing the band as a major international act.
Shakatak have carried on winning international awards, selling records globally, and after over 30 years in the business its an absolute pleasure to welcome the true pioneers of jazz funk to the HC
