The Cherry Orchard

This production, performed with an English speaking cast, puts a slight twist on the motive of Loparkin, as many Russian scholars have given another reason for the purchase of the land that made up the Cherry Orchard, but always overlooked in performances done outside of Russia.

Put in context, it was what was happening with Chekhov at the time he wrote the play.
