An Illustrated Talk
Spend an evening with Sir Ranulph Fiennes – our own local hero - described by the Guinness Book of Records as “The World’s Greatest Living Explorer”.
Sir Ranulph Fiennes comes to the Regal Theatre, Minehead on Tuesday 22nd July with an illustrated talk about his life of adventure.
He has led 22 major expeditions to remote parts of the world, including both Poles. He is the only man alive to have travelled around the Earth’s circumpolar surface, and the first explorer to completely cross the Antarctic continent on foot and unsupported. At the age of 65, he climbed Mount Everest, becoming the oldest Briton ever to do so. To date, Sir Ranulph has raised over £16 million for UK charities through his expeditions and in 1993 was awarded an OBE for “Human Endeavour and Charitable Services”.
This evening is a rare chance to hear about this remarkable man’s experiences first hand and get an insight into how he has accomplished so much.
Proceeds from this event go to the Exford church bell tower appeal.
Book signing in the Regal Bar after the talk.
