Red Balloon Music in conjunction with House of Cards are extremely proud to present Michele Stodart from The Magic Numbers performing an intimate solo concert with full backing band at The Black Rooms in Manchester.

Having played numerous sell-out shows and festivals all over the world as part of multi-million selling band The Magic Numbers, Michele Stodart has replaced the bass with a guitar, and ventured out to play shows across the country to celebrate the release of her first solo album, Wide-Eyed Crossing.

Her solo work is not a million miles away from The Magic Numbers, although there's a far stronger country influence on Wide-Eyed Crossing, which was recorded with engineer Phil Brown (Talk Talk, Beth Gibbons, Joni Mitchell), and stems from the music which defined her childhood - Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams, to name but a few.

Michele is a compelling frontwoman with her trademark, waist-length black hair and all-American singing style. Brandishing a steel-stringed guitar and supported by a highly competent backing band, she serves up blues staples of love, loss and recalcitrant lovers, with a decent helping of heartache and pain.

A rare chance to see a multi-million selling artist such as this in an extremely intimate venue.
