Literature Thieves
Literature Thieves are a Manchester based female trio made up of Angela Hazeldine, Amy Clarkson and Cassie Elwood. Formed in 2011, they are a close knit group with tight harmonies and melodic simplicity. Self taught and displaying an urge to play plenty of live shows; they have frequented the Manchester scene for the past eighteen months.
The trio have built a devoted local following, and have gained musical and lyrical influences from their 'pop / folk' up bringing, drawing from Simon and Garfunkel, Dolly Parton, Buell Kazee and The Carter family, not forgetting Stevie Nicks or Kate Bush.
The name Literature Thieves comes from Cassie being called a 'literature thief' for never giving back books she borrowed from her good friends!

Natalie McCool
With Damian Rice, Gomez, Liam Frost and Suzanne Vega amongst her biggest influences, Natalie's sound is a warmth of heavenly vocals and engrossing lyrics over a backdrop of masterful guitar playing. Natalie appeared on T4's 'Mobile Act Unsigned' with band Kalorie, gaining many fans, and won the 2007 'Make It Break It' songwriters competition. The track 'Anchor Down', which was written, arranged and performed by Natalie was judged by Chris Martin and Mark Radcliffe, and scooped the top prize.

Laura James
Laura James is an up and coming singer-songwriter from Cumbria.
She has been writing and performing for over 5 years, and is currently studying at Paul McCartney's prestigious Performing Arts Institute in Liverpool.(LIPA)
Laura has been influenced by singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor Other influences include Joanna Newsom and her father, Chris James, a blues guitarist.

Yarbo
Yarbo is singer songwriter Daniel Pye from Liverpool whose quirky, male vocals are united with those of Laura James on keyboard.
After spending 2010 - 2011 writing with Manchester based Northern Song Collective (NSC) and his former band Paraffin Oil Shop, Yarbo is now focusing on his own musical works.

Hannah & Lois
Nu-folk duo Hannah and Lois, with their gorgeous instrumentation and angelic vocals, represent a thrilling prospect for Manchester music. With vocals that instantly command you to listen, accompanied by Harp and Ukulele, their music is nostalgic but also fresh. At times, their vocals are not unlike Feist.
