Eighteen-year-old Gem, who has been described as the ‘next Taylor Swift in-the-making’ and ‘the female equivalent to Ed Sheeran’ by music critics, has enjoyed a meteoric rise since she first entered an open mic contest.
Last year she was signed by Irish label Walled City Records - run by Glee star Damian McGinty, and she recently shot to seventh in the iTunes country album chart with her Teenager EP, receiving praise from as far away as the US.
